Job Summary
We are located on the beautiful Deal coast and are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our team. We are a busy destination for all ages and families with an adventure golf course, pool and car track on site - for 2026 we have a stunning new decked area to showcase our food and drink offering.
This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things cooking, food safety, and delivering excellent service. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic food service setting, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals for our customers.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with recipes and standards
- Cook dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff, ensuring quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times
- Support with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies
- Serve meals to customers or assist in serving areas as required
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during daily operations
- Assist with cleaning schedules to uphold a hygienic working environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to various tasks within the kitchen environment
