University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking an organised and proactive administrator to support the effective day-to-day operation of Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges.
Working as part of the College Operations team, you’ll provide comprehensive administrative support across a varied portfolio of activities spanning Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges. This will include purchasing and financial administration, events administration, staff development and training, operational compliance, project support and the management of bookings for the accommodation situated at the Chelsea College of Arts campus.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across College and Building Operations, Estates, Finance, Health and Safety, academic and technical teams, as well as external contractors and stakeholders. You’ll maintain accurate records, support routine health and safety and information governance activities, monitor staff training information and help ensure that operational processes run smoothly and efficiently.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that you’ll work on site for three days each week across Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges.
You’ll have experience of providing effective administrative support, ideally within higher education or the creative industries. You’ll be confident undertaking financial administration and using online finance or procurement systems, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work accurately to deadlines.
Collaborative, organised and customer-focused, you’ll communicate effectively with colleagues at different levels of seniority and build positive relationships with staff, students and visitors. You’ll be comfortable using your initiative to resolve day-to-day operational issues and will understand how your work contributes to the wider priorities of the Colleges and University.
Experience of project or funding administration, marketing or events organisation would be an advantage.
