St Aubyn Estates are looking for an enthusiastic facilities operative with a can do attitude to join our team working on the iconic St Michaels Mount.
This is a fixed term contract , working five days per week during school summer holidays only. 13th July 2026 to 4th September 2026.
The role:
To carry out thorough cleaning of all visitor and staff facilities to an exemplary standard, complete minor maintenance tasks and assist with waste management and disposal.
You will:
· Proactively carry out cleaning duties according to the daily, weekly and occasional schedules.
· Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned, well maintained and stored correctly.
· Monitor levels of stock and order cleaning supplies as necessary.
· Undertake additional non-routine cleaning & maintenance tasks.
· Manage waste within agreed procedures including transport to the mainland depot.
· Wear the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment.
· Be friendly and helpful at all times.
· Be aware of all the activities on the Mount and be able to answer visitor’s questions or know who to direct these questions to.
· Be vigilant for any hazards and report them.
· Work to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and within COSHH and other risk assessments.
· Attend any necessary training.
· Model the behavioural values of St Aubyn Estates at all times: honest, considerate, energetic, responsible, resourceful.
