We are recruiting for Logistic Operatives to work on our 2,2,3, shift pattern on nights. Working hours are 18:00-06:00 with 24 days annual leave per annum.
Responsibilities include:
- Locate and select the correct quantity of packed product in accordance with planned despatch schedules, ensuring quality checks have been conducted prior to picking.
- Accurately organise product packed at line, for all customers, into depot pallets/trays/dollies ready for despatch, ensuring product is always handled correctly and there is no damage to the product or packaging.
- Ensure each pick complies with the specific customer instruction for example: M&S RFID, Waitrose Pallet Height, Pallet Labels, End Labels, ASN’s etc.
- Load product onto pallets using MHE trucks, ensuring the correct customer details are attached to pallets. To record on pick sheets if stock is not available and escalate to Team Leader.
- Process arrivals, including transfers, conducting physical checks on incoming materials, checking labels on pallets, scanning, and receiving them into location using FLT and highlighting any discrepancies to the Team leader.
- Unload lorries using MHE, recording goods in on-load sheets and checking reference numbers against POs. To create traceability labels using Prophet.
- Process orders for despatch in accordance with customer instructions and planned despatch schedules, using handheld scanners, pick sheets, MHE and checking labels.
- Load vehicles and ensure load plans are completed correctly, including trailer temperatures and trailer condition.
- Collate, move and check stock as appropriate ensuring Company procedures are followed and that physical quantities match the system stock, reporting stock levels using Prophet.
- Return surplus stock to cold stores, ensuring it is de-labelled and scanned appropriately where required and returns are recorded in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure any damage to equipment including MHE, Handheld Scanners, Pallet Racking and Doors, and any HACCP issues are reported without delay to the Logistics Team Leader.
- In the yard, ensure pallets and cages meet production requirements, conduct stock checks, and ensure required checks are completed. Ensure procedures are followed and the yard is kept tidy.
- Support with other operational tasks as directed by the Logistics Team Leader.
- To ensure brand integrity is maintained for Worldwide Fruit and our customers by following policies and procedures so the product meets the expected standard and specification. Ensuring that care and attention is dedicated to what we produce is to the best of our ability for all brands involved.
For all roles, candidates will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding of both verbal and written English. You will also be required to work well in a team, be flexible and have great attention to detail skills.
