Job Title: Mechanic
Location: East Sussex
Salary: £22.81 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday Days – 37 hrs per week
Key Responsibilities:
As part of a team of experienced Mechanic, you will work on a variety of commercial vehicles. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting vehicle inspections
- Performing routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
- Carrying out reactive maintenance as required
- Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT testing
- Diagnosing and rectifying running defects
- Responsible for the purchase, maintenance, repair and disposal of its inventory of 188 vehicles and operational equipment including breathing apparatus
Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
- Industry-recognized qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3) in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician
