We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Line Leader to join our Production team. If you're an experienced team leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering quality products, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Line Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a production team to ensure our fruit is packed safely, efficiently and to customer specification. You'll play a key role in achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards and motivating your team to deliver excellent results every day.
This is a hands-on role where you'll lead by example, support your colleagues and help drive continuous improvement across the production operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a production line and team of General Workers.
- Ensure production targets and customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Maximise productivity while maintaining excellent quality standards.
- Minimise fruit and packaging waste.
- Operate and monitor production machinery safely.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed.
- Support and train team members to improve performance and skills.
- Carry out in-the-moment coaching where required.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Help maintain BRCGS Food Safety standards and excellent housekeeping across the production area.
- Promote a positive, safe and supportive working environment.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Previous experience working within a food production, manufacturing or packing environment.
- Experience leading or supervising a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, positive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop others.
Desirable
- Experience within the fresh produce industry.
- Experience working in a BRCGS accredited environment.
- Food Safety or HACCP qualification.
- Experience operating production machinery.
- Health & Safety awareness.
