Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their desired loc styles and hair care needs
- Install, tighten, retwist, and maintain various types of locs with precision and care
- Provide advice on loc maintenance, products, and scalp health
- Ensure all tools and workstations are kept clean and sterilised according to health and safety standards
- Educate clients on proper loc care routines to promote healthy hair growth
- Maintain accurate client records and appointment schedules
- Stay updated with the latest loc styling techniques and industry trends
- Foster a friendly, professional environment that encourages client loyalty
Skills
- Proven experience as a Loctician or in a similar hair styling role specialising in locs
- Excellent knowledge of different loc techniques, products, and scalp health management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage appointments efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills to understand client needs and provide expert advice
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends or evenings if required
- A creative eye for detail and style to deliver customised looks for each client
