We're looking for a sharp, enthusiastic junior to help build and maintain our whyaml.com brand site and our app.whyaml.com portal. It's an ideal role for someone early in their career who writes and reasons exceptionally well, is comfortable working alongside AI tools, and wants to grow their development skills on live products. You'll work primarily with PHP or React, contributing across our WhyAML portal and public-facing sites.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features across the brand site and the portal
- Write clean, efficient, well-structured code (primarily PHP /React)
- Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate and improve your work
- Produce clear technical documentation, API specs, and user-facing content
- Collaborate with senior developers to understand and extend our architecture
- Help test, optimise, and maintain existing infrastructure
- Stay current with web frameworks, tooling, and AI-assisted workflows
Requirements
- Exceptional written and spoken English — precise, clear, and persuasive
- A Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, English, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field) or equivalent practical experience
- Some hands-on experience with a programming language such as PHP, JavaScript, or Python
- Comfort using AI/LLM tools as part of a daily workflow
- A basic understanding of API integration and web services
- Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine eagerness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork
Bonus Skills
- A portfolio of writing (published work, documentation, essays, or a blog)
- Experience with Online Marketing and Analytics
- Familiarity with advertising methodologies
- Front-end experience
How to Apply
Rather than a standard cover letter, we want to see how you think, prompt, and write.
Using the AI tool of your choice, craft a prompt (or series of prompts) that draws on your real, truthful CV to make the case for why you're the right person for this role. Then send us three things:
- The prompt(s) you used — exactly as you wrote them.
- The output the AI produced — the unedited result, or your refined final version if you iterated.
- A short note from you explaining the choices behind your prompting and why the result makes an honest, accurate case for your fit.
We're assessing three things together: the quality of your prompting, the quality of the writing it produces, and your judgement in keeping it grounded in the truth. Polished output built on an inflated or invented CV misses the point entirely — we'll be verifying claims, and honesty is part of what we're testing for.
