As a Production Operator, you will be part of an Autonomous Group of Production (GAP), working closely with your team to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are achieved.
The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Production Operators to set and operate production machinery while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
- Complete routine machine adjustments, tool changes, and wear compensation.
- Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment and record results accurately.
- Complete production documentation, including route cards, SPC records, and control forms.
- Maintain product traceability at all times.
- Support smooth production flow between manufacturing processes.
- Conduct first-line preventative maintenance activities.
- Report machine faults and quality concerns promptly.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
- Contribute to shift handovers to ensure seamless production continuity.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
- Support and train new team members where required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of manufacturing operations and processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude towards learning and development.
Desirable
- Experience within the aerospace industry.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and shadowgraphs.
- Previous machine operating experience.
