Are you an organised and approachable administrator who enjoys helping people and making a difference behind the scenes? This is an opportunity to join our Care & Repair team, supporting a service that helps older people remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes. If you're looking for a rewarding part-time, fixed term, funded role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Care & Repair Administrative Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the service. You'll be a key point of contact for customers, colleagues, contractors and partner organisations, providing professional administrative and secretarial support across the team.
The role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting meetings, processing work orders and invoices, managing information systems and responding to enquiries from members of the public. You'll work closely with colleagues across the service to help deliver an efficient and responsive experience for older people who rely on our support.
Skills and Experience Needed
We're looking for someone with previous experience in an office or administrative environment and confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
You will have strong organisational skills, excellent literacy and numeracy, and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people both verbally and in writing.
You'll be able to manage your workload, work to deadlines and use your initiative while also contributing positively as part of a team. An understanding of the needs of older people and a commitment to providing excellent customer service are essential. You'll also hold GCSE-level education (or equivalent) or a relevant business administration qualification.
