Accounts Administrator
About the Role
Established in the mid 70’s we are a leading manufacturer of power & electrical equipment, with customers throughout the UK and worldwide. From supplying the UK’s largest property developers, F1 teams to the film industry and music festivals, you will be working with a diverse and dynamic range of customers.
We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Accounts Administrator to join our finance team.
The role will provide exposure to a variety of accounting and administrative duties, with support and training available for the right candidate.
The position is 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday with no evening, weekend, or bank holiday working.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the accounts and administration function
- Assisting with credit control activities, including contacting customers by telephone and email regarding outstanding invoices
- Maintaining the sales ledger and ensuring customer account information is accurate and up to date
- Processing customer payments and allocating receipts to customer accounts
- Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining customer records
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and other routine finance tasks
- Responding to customer account queries in a professional and timely manner
- Liaising with customers and colleagues across the business to resolve account-related issues
- Carrying out general office administration duties including filing, scanning, data entry and document management
- Assisting with month-end activities as required
- Ensuring records are maintained accurately and confidentially
- Other ad-hoc admin duties as required by the business
About You
The successful candidate will be:
- Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email
- Accurate, with excellent attention to detail
- Positive, proactive and willing to learn
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Essential Requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
