Based at the Tim Lamb Centre in Newcastle, we are looking for a passionate, creative and enthusiastic Community & Events Fundraiser to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves bringing people together, building relationships and creating fundraising opportunities that make a genuine difference to our families.
About the Role
As our Community & Events Fundraiser, you will play a key role in developing our fundraising activity and increasing our presence within the local community.
You will:
- Plan, organise and deliver fundraising events and campaigns
- Lead our Great North Run fundraising activity and annual fundraising events
- Develop relationships with local businesses, community groups, supporters and potential corporate partners
- Identify new fundraising opportunities and develop creative ideas to generate income
- Recruit, coordinate and support fundraising volunteers
- Build strong and lasting relationships with donors and supporters
- Promote fundraising campaigns and events through social media and other channels
- Represent Pathways4All and the Tim Lamb Centre at community events and external activities
- Work alongside our wider team to promote our services and charitable impact
- Maintain accurate supporter and fundraising records.
- Monitor fundraising targets and prepare reports on fundraising activity and outcomes
- Support media, PR and awareness campaigns when required
- Provide excellent customer service to our supporters, volunteers and community partners
- Work as part of a team, including office duties and maintaining our facilities.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and confident building relationships with a wide range of people.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in fundraising, events, community engagement, marketing or relationship management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- A creative approach to fundraising and community engagement
- Good IT and social media skills
- Experience of developing relationships with businesses, community groups or supporters
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- The ability to work as part of a passionate and supportive team
- Experience using CRM or fundraising databases would be advantageous
- Experience in PR, media or promotional campaigns would be desirable
