Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Basildon and surrounding
Type: Casual, Supply (Ad-hoc) - FT and PT availability as well as temp to perm.
Salary: £90+ through PAYE - Weekly pay (including holiday pay)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team! You will be working in schools across Basildon on a flexible, supply basis. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting class teachers in delivering high-quality education, providing tailored support to students, and ensuring that every child is engaged and thriving in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in the delivery of lessons and educational activities.
- Support students on an individual or small group basis, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Help with classroom management and ensure students are following rules and routines.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues that arise.
- Adapt to various teaching environments and ensure a smooth transition when working in different schools.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage the development of students’ social and emotional well-being.
- Follow school policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and welfare of students at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school setting (this could include volunteering or as a teaching assistant or relevant transferable skills).
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm for supporting children, and a passion for education.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to different teaching styles and classroom environments.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one - also must be on the update service).

Pay: £12.50-£13.60 per hour
