Care Navigator (Reception Staff) – Join Our Friendly GP Practice!

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient service, helping people access the care they need. ✅ Full Time permanent role – 37.5 hours per week
✅ Work-life balance – Surgery hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 6:30 pm (No weekends or late evenings!)

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Greeting and assisting patients both in person and over the phone
- Booking appointments for doctors, nurses, and clinics
- Handling administrative tasks, including patient records and prescriptions
- Managing incoming enquiries and signposting patients to the right services
- Operating the computerised telephone and appointment system
- Supporting clinical staff with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Ensuring the reception area is welcoming and well-organised
Essential Skills & Experience:
✔ Experience working in primary care or the NHS
✔ Strong phone handling skills with excellent customer service skills
✔ Good IT skills and ability to use electronic systems
✔ Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
✔ A team player with great attention to detail
Desirable Skills:
➕ Experience using EMIS Web
➕ Experience using PATCHS
➕ Previous experience in a similar reception/administrative role within healthcare
