HGV Fitter - Trostre, Runtech Ltd

The ideal candidate will be working as part of a team who are accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance on a range of HGV Vehicles within our South Wales site operations.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have gained an apprenticeship and be NVQ Level 3 qualified with a proven track record as an HGV fitter. Semi-skilled will also be considered for this role.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Carry out preventative and routine maintenance including servicing, inspections and to complete relevant paperwork.
· Attend machine breakdowns on site, and effect repairs to ensure minimum downtime.
· Troubleshoot and fault find any defects carry out repairs as necessary.
· Maintain the workshop in a clean and tidy environment.
· Ensure all safety and environmental rules are followed including compliance with PPE requirements, method statements and risk assessments.
· Carry out point of work risk assessments before commencing work.
· Promoting high levels of customer service and professionalism at all times.
· Good timekeeping & productivity.
Essential
· Have a complete set of own hand tools, adequate to carry out the job.
· Comfortable communicating with colleagues and external suppliers/clients
· A team player who can enjoy a challenge.
· Demonstrate competence in the maintenance and repair of HGV Vehicles.
· Full Driving Licence (HGV Preferred but not essential).
Package:
· Monday - Saturday 47 hours per week (including Saturday mornings)
. Overtime paid after completion of basic weekly hours.
· Auto enrolled onto the company pension scheme
· 28 days holiday per year inclusive of Bank holidays
The successful candidate will be subject to our induction process that will include drug & alcohol testing.
