A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Housekeeping department; we are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Supervisor to assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Housekeeping operation.
As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will supervise a team of Room Attendants whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and ensuring that core standards are met within the housekeeping department. Previous experience of checking rooms is essential.
What will I be doing?
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to maintain 4-star quality standards
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and compliance
- Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Allocate daily tasks and manage staff schedules to ensure efficient workflow
- Conduct regular stock checks and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens
- Report maintenance issues and follow up
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism
- Support the Accommodation Manager

To successfully fill this role as Housekeeping Supervisor at The Royal Duchy Hotel, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous experience as Housekeeping Supervisor
- Experience in a 4 star hotel environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
- A neat and tidy appearance (hair and fingernails) and adherence to uniform requirements.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work on your own or in a team
