We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and detail oriented Accounts Assistant to join our growing Finance Team at our main office in Darwen, Lancashire. This role will be based in the office, joining a team of 3. You will take ownership of the purchase and sales ledgers, producing weekly and monthly financial reports, and assisting with month end reconciliations using Sage Line 50.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to work independently using own initiative. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
· Processing of invoices and credit notes on Sage Line 50, agreeing to purchase orders
· Reconciliation of purchase ledger balances to supplier statements, resolving any differences
· Preparing and raising sales invoices on Sage Line 50
· Reviewing and reporting on job costs
· Producing reports on upcoming payments
· Assisting with sales forecasting reports
· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
· Experience working with Sage Line 50
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Excellent numerical and IT skills
· Experience working in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
· Salary £27,000
· 22 days holidays per year (Plus Bank Holidays) increasing annually after 4 year’s service
