Digital Publishing Assistant
Salary: £27,000–£29,000 per year, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am–5.00 pm, with a one-hour paid lunch break

The role
Inovar Communications is a specialist B2B media company publishing international magazines, websites, newsletters and social media content.
We are looking for a Digital Publishing Assistant to support our editorial, digital marketing and production operations. This varied role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills in content publishing, digital campaigns, audience development, data analysis and magazine production.
You will also work with colleagues to explore how AI and automation can streamline processes, improve productivity and help us understand our audiences. You will initially support more experienced members of the team, taking on greater responsibility as your skills develop.
What you’ll need
- Strong written English and excellent proofreading skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confidence using digital tools and learning new systems
- An understanding of digital marketing and SEO
- An interest in publishing, data, AI and process improvement
- A collaborative, organised and proactive approach
Experience with WordPress, email marketing, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, analytics or social media platforms would be an advantage. Training can be provided, so we welcome applicants with strong underlying skills and a willingness to learn.
What you’ll do
Working alongside colleagues across editorial, marketing and production, you will provide support in the following areas:
- Uploading, formatting and publishing news and articles, including editing, proofreading and applying our house style
- Helping with the production of print and digital magazines
- Assisting with email newsletters and digital marketing campaigns
- Preparing promotional content for websites, email and social media, and supporting SEO and audience engagement
- Gathering and analysing website, newsletter and campaign data to identify useful trends
- Using AI-assisted tools to support research, content preparation, marketing, data analysis and production
- Helping the team identify opportunities to improve and automate workflows
- Checking AI-assisted work for accuracy, quality, copyright, confidentiality and editorial integrity
