The Role
As a Playworker, you will:
- Bring the Fun – Help plan and deliver a variety of engaging activities that encourage creativity, confidence, and laughter.
- Support Daily Operations – Assist with setting up, tidying, preparing snacks, and general club duties to keep things running smoothly.
- Keep Children Safe & Happy – Supervise children with care and energy, maintaining high standards of safety and wellbeing.
- Be a Friendly Face – Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Get Involved – Encourage children’s ideas, help with club admin when needed, and be a team player in every way.
What We’re Looking For:
About You:
- Experience working with children aged 4–11 in a childcare, school, or play setting
- A love for play and a caring, inclusive attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive, can-do mindset
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and child development
- Sufficient English to ensure children's wellbeing and effective communication
Bonus Qualities (We’d Love to See!):
- Experience in a play-based environment
- Relevant Level 2 or 3 childcare/playworker qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
- Confidence using basic IT for communication or admin
- Understanding of EYFS or school-age childcare standards

Hours: *Please note the Split-Shift work pattern below*
28.75 hours per week - Term Time Only Monday to Friday:
- 7:00am – 9:00am (Before School)
- 2:30pm – 6:15pm (After School)
Pay: From £12.88 per hour
