Overview
We are seeking a self-employed gardener to provide expert horticultural and landscape maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, a strong understanding of plant care, and the ability to work independently on various outdoor projects. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse gardening tasks across different locations, ensuring beautiful and well-maintained outdoor spaces.
Duties
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to prune, trim, and shape plants and trees
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules
- Conduct landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, weeding, and fertilising
- Plant new flora, including flowers, shrubs, and trees, according to client specifications
- Manage garden beds and ensure healthy growth through appropriate horticultural practices
- Perform regular inspections of outdoor spaces to identify and address any issues promptly
- Advise clients on plant selection, garden design, and ongoing maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment during all gardening activities
Experience
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture with a strong knowledge of plant care principles
- Experience in using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes effectively and safely
- Familiarity with power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers
- Growing experience with various types of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and garden design principles
- Previous work in horticulture or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
Work Location: On the road
