Front Office Manager & Events Coordinator
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Role Purpose
To lead the day-to-day Front Office operation, ensuring excellent guest service, strong team performance and effective communication across the hotel.
The role will also work closely with the Events team, supporting with enquiries, showrounds, client communication, event administration and accommodation requirements linked to weddings and functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront Office
- Lead, motivate and develop the Reception team.
- Ensure consistently high standards of guest service.
- Oversee reservations, arrivals, departures and guest enquiries.
- Manage rotas, training and team performance.
- Handle guest complaints and service recovery.
- Ensure effective communication between Reception and other departments.
- Maximise upselling opportunities across bedrooms, dining and hotel services.
Events Support
- Support the Events team with enquiries and client communication.
- Conduct venue showrounds where required.
- Assist with event administration and documentation.
- Coordinate bedroom bookings, rooming lists and accommodation linked to events.
- Support event delivery during busy periods when required.
- Ensure clear communication between Events, Reception and operational teams.
Hotel Operations
- Undertake Duty Manager responsibilities when required.
- Support the wider hotel operation during busy periods.
- Maintain hotel standards, procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Work closely with the management team to improve guest experience and operational efficiency.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in hotel Reception, Front Office or guest services.
- Confident leading and developing a team.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Warm, professional and guest focused.
- Comfortable handling complaints and making decisions.
- Confident dealing with event clients and conducting showrounds.
- Flexible and willing to support the wider hotel operation.
Previous experience in events, weddings, reservations or group bookings would be advantageous.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to take ownership of Front Office while gaining wider exposure to Events and hotel operations.
