Quarry Assistant

The Role You will support operational teams on-site, to plan and prepare work areas, manage access to sites, and oversee the safe operation and maintenance of transport and equipment. You will also help manage depot operations and stock, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
Working as the number 2 to the HGV Driver, you will accompany him to all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel with the HGV Driver assisting with the delivery of goods
- Liaise with site to plan and prepare work areas
- Maintain all company-issued equipment and transport assets to a high standard, completing daily and weekly check sheets, and actioning safety-critical defects immediately
- Attend site toolbox talks and internal meetings as required
- Assist with depot operations, ordering processes, and stock management (including magazine stock levels and regulatory compliance, if required)
- Undertake transport deliveries, including box van work, where required
- Represent the organisation professionally when on customer sites
- Maintain formal CPD records
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management
Essential Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above)
- Full clean driving licence
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
