If you are passionate about working one to one, and have a caring background and nature, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you!
We are looking for a Personal Carer, to care and support for a gentleman with cerebral palsy in his own family home. The role involves personal care, some hoisting, Pegs (training provided) and taking him out into local community when time allows. The role is situated in a lovely family home in Southport, and allows an opportunity to make a real difference to the individual, his family and the wider community.
Aspects of the role include:
- Support with medication, moving and handling.
- Assisting with communication, meal preparation, activities.
- Assisting with Hoist, and PEGs (training will be provided) and some personal care.
- Driving their vehicle to different locations, taking client out in the community.
The role is part time, permanent 9:30am-5:30pm two days a week. These days can change.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Care/Support role
- Due to client needs, female only
- Full UK driving license also preferred
- NVQ 2 Health and Social Care preferred
