Salary: £14.50 - £15.25 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week (30-minute unpaid break each day)

We're looking for an experienced, compassionate and motivated Senior Carer to join our growing team.

About the Role
At Sarah's Carers, we believe outstanding care starts with outstanding carers. As a Senior Carer, you'll play an important role in supporting our care team, leading by example and helping to maintain the high standards of care our clients expect.
This is a varied, hands-on role. You'll regularly work alongside our carers in the community, providing high-quality care to clients while helping to maintain continuity of care during annual leave, sickness and periods of increased demand. You'll also support carers in their day-to-day role, offering guidance, encouragement and practical support whenever it's needed.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in helping others succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example and provide high-quality care to clients.
- Support, mentor and encourage members of the care team.
- Work alongside carers, providing practical guidance and coaching.
- Complete spot checks, observations and competency assessments.
- Support medication competency and best practice.
- Monitor quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support carers and clients with day-to-day operational issues.
- Assist with incident, complaint and safeguarding investigations where required.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) worked across a structured 4-week rolling rota. The role includes a mixture of early, core and late shifts together with participation in a weekend on-call rota (approximately one weekend in four).
Additional payments are made for on-call duties and any overtime worked outside your normal working hours.

What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years' domiciliary care experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A caring, positive and proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting both clients and colleagues.
Desirable:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Experience mentoring or supporting care staff.
- Experience completing spot checks, observations or competency assessments.
