Our Commis Chefs plays an integral role in the kitchen of our pub! Entrusted with assisting the team in their section to ensure the highest standards of product. Though skillfully trained, they never lose sight of their ultimate reasonability, to create lifelong memories for our customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A day in the life of our Commis Chefs demands high levels of energy. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the contributions that our Commis Chefs accomplishes would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.
- Our Commis Chefs are responsible for participating in daily food preparations during their day. This will include portioning food products such as fish, meat and vegetables; utilizing food surpluses to control food costs; and ensuring all food preparations meet outline recipes including portion size, quality and quantity all to ensure our customers receives nothing but the best experience.
- Sometimes our customers have special requests involving dietary restrictions, off-menu requests and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Kitchen Team.
- Our values of Personality, Passion, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. The purpose of a Commis Chefs is to live their behaviours to continue to create our legacy.
- Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Commis Chefs must communicate with other departments and extended team in order to ensure the alignment

QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRABLES

- In a fast-moving world, we remain consistent and relevant, requiring flexibility from everyone on the team.
- English is the primary language used in our hotel. Our Commis Chefs must feel comfortable communicating in this language.
