Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated areas. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to manage time effectively throughout the delivery route. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Van Supplied at weekly cost
- Average working hours range from 7-10 hours per day,
- Route will cover up to 90 miles per day, fuel cost will not be included in pay and is the drivers responsibility to cover their fuel costs daily.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at multiple destinations
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures
- Deliver packages accurately to customers’ specified locations, ensuring items are handled with care
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes
- Complete all necessary documentation and delivery paperwork accurately and promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, ensuring it is presentable at all times
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is required
- Familiarity with warehouse operations or logistics environments is advantageous
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence or equivalent is essential
- Experience in driving long wheel based vans is mandatory
