Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering. The Maintenance Fitter will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety and reliability of machinery, while demonstrating leadership and enthusiasm. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs as necessary.
- Carry out repairs and modifications to equipment and structures, adhering to safety standards.
- Lead maintenance activities, supervising junior team members and coordinating tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in basic machining, welding techniques and machine repairs preferred.
- Basic electrical experience including wiring and troubleshooting electrical faults.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance and repair.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for clear documentation and teamwork.

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
