Clipper Contracting currently employs approx. 20 staff but is yet one of the UK’s largest payroll umbrella companies, paying around 4,000 workers weekly for the recruitment sector.
What we are looking for:
As Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Your attention to detail will help guarantee that all payroll outputs are produced and delivered correctly.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor payroll inboxes and respond to client queries professionally and promptly.
- Ensure all emails are actioned within agreed timescales and cleared daily.
- Upload payroll hours accurately using employee identification details.
- Identify agencies not providing correct employee information.
- Communicate payroll issues or missing workers to Account Managers quickly.
- Respond to payroll queries from clients and colleagues in a timely and professional manner.
- Review current payroll processes, identify improvements, and suggest solutions to the Payroll team.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Preferred previous basic knowledge of payroll.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- High attention to detail with good organisational skills.
- Emphasis on ownership and problem-solving.
- Previous experience with a payroll software would be beneficial.
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 9 to 4/A+ to C, including English Language and Mathematics.
This role is ideal for someone who is looking to build a career in payroll with some previous payroll experience, with strong administration skills. Training will be provided for the right candidate with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and love for numbers and excel spreadsheets!

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
