About the Role
Warwickshire Legal Services is seeking to recruit up to three dedicated and conscientious Legal Officers to join our Debt Recovery Team. Please don’t switch off! This is an exciting opportunity to take on a responsible role in a high-performing legal team which takes a pride and a keen interest in its work, recovering debt for Warwickshire County Council and other public bodies. We are looking for a Legal Officer with a positive, can-do attitude; someone who has an excellent grounding in civil litigation and can work on their own initiative at a senior level on debt cases. The work is fast-paced, interesting and offers the opportunity to explore other areas of law, as we deal with debts from many service areas.
Key Requirements
We are looking for someone with:

a genuine interest in civil litigation/debt work
- good client care, communication, and inter-personal skills
- the ability to be an excellent team player and mentor to other staff
- high levels of IT literacy and strong administrative skills
- either 60 months’ relevant experience, or a legal qualification (Law Degree / CILEx Level 6 or equivalent) plus 36 months’ relevant experience
About the Team
At Warwickshire Legal Services, we run a very different kind of in-house legal team, made up of over 140 legal professionals. We have the freedom to practice as a business within Warwickshire County Council, generating our own income from internal teams and a diverse pool of public sector clients.
We have pioneered a system of agile working which provides our lawyers with the opportunity to work within the office environment and remotely. Our positions are full time at 37 hours per week, but we are also open to part-time working.
