We are seeking a dedicated Drainage Civils Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with drainage installation, maintenance, and repair projects. Duties
- Assisting with excavation works using hand tools and power tools to prepare sites for drainage installation
- Operating machinery such as excavators under supervision, ensuring safe and efficient work practices
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining drainage systems in accordance with project specifications
- Using hand tools and power tools to assemble and secure drainage components
- Conducting basic mechanical and electrical tasks related to drainage infrastructure, subject to training and experience
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with site set-up and demobilisation at various locations as required
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with excavator operation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if needed
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers, and shovels
- Knowledge of power tools including drills, saws, and grinders
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for understanding system components and troubleshooting issues
- Electrical experience or understanding of electrical systems related to civils work is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
