We are new Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP), set up to deliver a safe, reliable and high-performing parcel delivery operation in Gloucester. As a new DSP, we're building from the ground up and gearing up for fast growth. So this is a genuine opportunity to help shape the operation from an early stage and grow with the business.
The Role
You'll take day-to-day lead of our delivery operation in Gloucester, from morning dispatch through to drivers returning to station. You'll be the main point of contact for our drivers and a key link between our team and Amazon station leadership, making sure every shift runs smoothly, safely and on time.
This is a front-line, on-the-ground role. You'll need to stay calm under pressure, think on your feet, and be comfortable holding drivers to clear, consistent standards while supporting them to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Run daily driver check-in, briefings, dispatch and load-out
- Manage rotas, attendance, route coverage and cover for absences
- Track route progress through the day and step in with rescues or support where needed
- Coach drivers using Amazon scorecard data and on-the-ground observation
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new drivers
- Keep accurate records to support audits and compliance checks
- Check fleet readiness daily and manage vehicle defects or damage reporting
- Act as the main daily point of contact with the Amazon station team
- Report regularly to the business owner on performance and any issues
What We're Looking For
- Experience in an Amazon DSP, last-mile delivery, or similar high-volume operational role (Operations Manager / On-Site Manager experience preferred)
- Confidence managing drivers or front-line teams day to day
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions
- Comfortable handling attendance, conduct and performance conversations
- Practical with spreadsheets and operational/performance data
- Clear communicator who stays level-headed under pressure
- Flexible to work early mornings, weekends, and occasional six-day weeks during busier periods
- Full UK driving licence required
