Job Title: Part-Time Waking Night Support Worker
Location: Telford, Shropshire (Supported Living Service)
Salary: £13,149 per annum (£1,095.75 per month)
Hours: 18 hours (2 nights) per week, on a rolling rota basis
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Waking Night Support Worker to join our Supported Living team in Telford.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare, safety, and comfort of the individuals we support overnight within their home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remain awake throughout the night to monitor safety and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies.
- Carry out regular welfare checks according to individual support plans.
- Provide respectful assistance with personal care (such as washing, dressing, or toileting) as required, always maintaining dignity and privacy.
- Assist with healthcare needs and medication administration where necessary.
- Perform light domestic duties, including laundry, ironing, and cleaning tasks.
- Maintain accurate, clear, and honest records and complete shift handovers with day staff.
- Attend required induction, statutory training, and team meetings (which may occasionally take place during the day).

Essential Criteria:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience working with adults with learning disabilities and visual impairments.

- Right to Work: Valid proof of right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- A reliable, self-motivated, and flexible approach to shift work.
Desirable Criteria:
- Level 2 or 3 QCF/NVQ units in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), though training opportunities will be provided.
