The Cafe is a highly regarded, thriving, independent cafe in the centre of the community , serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, bakes & cakes, with Bingo and Quiz night and themed evenings on selected Thursdays and other events.
You will have the opportunity to work with local suppliers and producers, craft your own menu and offer specials in line with your passions.
Excellent kitchen support is in place already, so you'll be able to come in and get going to push our food offering to the next level very quickly.
We operate daytime and evening hours and the kitchen shift runs from 7:30am - 4:00pm Tuesday- Saturday, and 9am-4pm Sunday. Weekend working is required. All staff get discounted food.
Responsibilities include ordering stock, stock control, food safety & hygiene, allergens, cleaning, menu development (daytime and evening), kitchen rota, leading service and all round kitchen prep. HR activities are currently done by the owners.
