Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any needs or concerns
- Handle payments accurately and provide correct change or process card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Follow food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service and clearing after closing shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
- Time management skills to ensure timely service delivery
- Guest service orientation with a positive attitude towards customer satisfaction
- Upselling abilities to promote special dishes or beverages effectively
