Bright A Blind has been delivering exceptional commercial blind and shading installations for over 35 years. We work with some of the UK's best-known businesses, contractors, hotels, healthcare providers, universities and government organisations.
As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Lead Commercial Installation Engineer to join our specialist installation team.
This is not a domestic blind fitting role.
You'll be installing high-quality commercial shading systems on prestigious projects across London and the South East.
What you'll be doing
Installing commercial roller, Venetian, vertical and Roman blind systems.
Installing and commissioning motorised blind systems.
Installing commercial curtain tracks and curtain systems.
Installing pergola systems.
Removing blinds for off-site cleaning and reinstalling them following refurbishment.
Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive replacement works.
Reading technical drawings and manufacturer installation instructions.
Working at height using MEWPs, towers and other access equipment.
Drilling and fixing into steel, concrete, masonry, timber and specialist substrates.
Solving installation challenges independently.
Working directly with clients, facilities managers and principal contractors.
Completing installations to the highest standard.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys technical challenges.
You will:
Have experience installing commercial products or specialist building systems.
Be mechanically minded and confident using power tools and specialist fixing equipment.
Be reliable, motivated and able to work independently.
Be prepared to work occasional evenings and weekends when projects require.
Be willing to stay until the job is completed safely and professionally.
Be comfortable working at height.
Read drawings and installation instructions confidently.
Always wear company uniform and PPE and work safely.
Represent Bright A Blind professionally on every site.
Essential Requirements
Commercial installation experience.
Full UK Driving Licence.
CSCS Card.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills.
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
IPAF
PASMA
Experience with motorised shading systems.
Experience on commercial construction sites.
Experience within glazing, architectural metalwork, automatic doors, commercial fit-out, blinds or specialist installations.
Working Hours
6:30 am start (most working days).
Monday to Friday.
Overtime available.
Evening and weekend work available for premium rates.
Flexibility is essential to meet client and project requirements.
