Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motor Mechanic with expertise in AUTO ELECTRICAL DUTIES to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, starters, alternators, and sensors
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, assemble, and repair automotive components accurately
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and performance
- Repair or replace faulty equipment parts, including welding damaged components when necessary
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to guide repair procedures effectively
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving engine components or large parts to ensure safe handling and installation
- Maintain detailed service records, documenting repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Experience in automotive assembly and disassembly processes
- Knowledge of electrical systems within vehicles and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to perform equipment repair and routine maintenance tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate repair needs clearly and professionally
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and working in various automotive environments
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Able to work of own initiative as well as part of a team
