Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for upholding food safety standards, assisting in food preparation when necessary, and promoting upselling to enhance guest satisfaction. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently, maintaining presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen duties as needed, adhering to food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while enhancing guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and utensils in accordance with hygiene standards
- Handle guest queries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently, including food handling procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures and guest service best practices is preferred
- Basic maths skills are essential for handling transactions accurately
- Experience with kitchen operations or culinary tasks can be beneficial but is not required
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy service periods
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and guests
