As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the children's home. You will lead and inspire a team of care professionals, ensuring that children and young people receive outstanding care and support that promotes positive outcomes and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the children's home.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and quality standards.
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of residential support workers and senior staff.
- Promote a positive, child-centred culture focused on achieving the best outcomes for young people.
- Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Develop and maintain care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
- Build professional relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and external agencies.
- Monitor budgets and ensure effective resource management.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections.
Requirements Essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve within required timescales).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a management role within a children's residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
