Maintain Spaces That Inspire Play
Welcome to The Play Company
At The Play Company, we don't just build play areas – we create the places where childhood happens.
From the UK to Europe and the US, we design and manufacture unique indoor play environments that inspire imagination, adventure, and fun. Every project is different, and every installation leaves a lasting impression on the families who enjoy it.
As a family-run business, we believe great work comes from great people. That's why we're looking to grow our Maintenance team with new Maintenance Operatives based in the South East area, helping us continue delivering exceptional service to our customers nationwide.
If you enjoy practical work, solving problems, and no two days being the same, we'd love to hear from you.
Why This Role Feels Different
This isn't just maintenance.
You'll be the person who keeps our customers' play environments clean, looking their best, operating safely, and creating amazing experiences for thousands of children.
One week you could be carrying out planned maintenance at an established site, the next travelling to support an exciting new installation or refurbishment project. Every day brings new locations, new challenges and the opportunity to take pride in work that genuinely matters.
If you enjoy variety, working independently, and being trusted to represent a growing business, this role could be the perfect fit.
The Role: Maintenance Operative
We're expanding our Nationwide operations and are adding to our existing Maintenance Team with this new regional team based in the South East who will work together support customers throughout the region and across the UK.
You'll work both independently and alongside colleagues, carrying out maintenance, repairs, inspections and customer support while representing The Play Company with professionalism and pride. Potential candidates will be invited for a phone/teams call before our Operations Director and Head of Maintenance will hold face to face interviews in the South East area.

What Makes You a Great Fit
We're looking for practical people who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in doing a job properly.
Previous maintenance, installation or trade experience is a bonus, but it isn't essential. If you have the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn, we're committed to investing in your development and giving you the training and support you need to succeed.
You'll thrive here if you:
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work and solving problems
- Are keen to learn new skills and develop your career
- Have a positive attitude and aren't afraid to get stuck in
- Can work independently while also being a supportive team player
