Buyer – Electrical Wholesale
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000–£45,000 depending on experience
Reform Electrical Distributors is looking for an experienced Buyer to take ownership of purchasing, stock and supplier commercials.
You will make sure we have the right products, at the right price, when our customers need them.
It is a busy, hands-on role. You will need to stay organised, think commercially and get things sorted without needing to be chased.
We work hard, enjoy what we do and do not take ourselves too seriously—but we are serious about delivering for our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing stock replenishment
- Ordering products for customer requirements
- Monitoring stock levels and availability
- Managing supplier rebates
- Organising debit notes, credit notes and supplier claims
- Reviewing pricing and commercial terms
- Building strong supplier relationships
- Finding opportunities to improve margin and reduce costs
- Improving purchasing processes as the business grows
- Helping the wider team when needed
Who We’re Looking For
You may currently be a Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Assistant Manager or someone responsible for ordering within an electrical wholesaler.
You will be:
- Organised, reliable and commercially aware
- Confident dealing with suppliers
- Comfortable working at pace
- Proactive and good at solving problems
- Approachable and easy to work with
- Someone who takes ownership and gets things done
Requirements
- At least two years’ electrical wholesale experience
- Experience with purchasing, ordering or stock management
- Good electrical product and supplier knowledge
- Strong communication and organisational skills
