We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join a reputable and growing operation based in the Edinburgh
NVQ Level 3 – while it is preferred, time-served technicians with hands-on HGV experience are strongly encouraged to apply. If you’ve got the skills, we want to hear from you.
About the Role:
You’ll be working on a wide range of HGVs, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to ensure the fleet remains safe, roadworthy, and reliable. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive workshop team with opportunities to progress and enhance your skills.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Routine servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Using diagnostic equipment and following safety standards
Completing job cards and all relevant documentation
Supporting general workshop tasks and keeping the workspace clean
(If applicable) Assisting with fabrication work or operating forklifts and excavators
What We’re Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent – preferred but not essential
Time-served technicians with proven HGV experience are highly valued
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
A proactive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
