We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at Crown Bevcan in Peterborough, working within a busy manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, has good time management skills and is comfortable working in a large, active production environment.
What you’ll do

Carry out routine cleaning duties in line with agreed schedules and required standards

Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment across your allocated areas

Empty and dispose of waste safely

Replenish consumables such as paper towels, toilet rolls and soap
-
Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly, following COSHH requirements
-
Use PPE and appropriate warning signs when required
-
Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the shift

Report any health & safety concerns, accidents or near misses to your Supervisor

Work closely with colleagues, management and client employees to deliver an excellent service

Maintain a professional appearance and provide a friendly, helpful service at all times
What you’ll bring

Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment

Good time management and the ability to stay on top of your workload

Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable, flexible and professional approach

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to follow instructions, procedures and health & safety requirements

Basic literacy skills

Physically able to be active for prolonged periods, including frequent walking, bending and stooping

Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment where there may be higher levels of noise
