Safety, Quality and Patient Experience
As a Resuscitation Technician, you will support the delivery of high quality patient care by providing Basic Life Support and AED training to clinical staff across the Trust. You will manage your workload effectively, work in accordance with Trust policies, and escalate concerns promptly to maintain safe and consistent practice. A core part of the role is promoting dignity, respect and inclusion, ensuring that all staff and patients are treated in line with the Trust’s values and commitment to excellent patient experience.
Educational Responsibilities
You will assist in delivering essential life support training, helping to maintain high standards of education in line with Trust and RCUK guidelines. You will ensure that training records are accurate and up to date, supporting the smooth operation of the Resuscitation Service and contributing to the development of confident, well prepared clinical teams.
Professional Responsibilities
In your role as a Resuscitation Technician, you will demonstrate professionalism at all times, working within your defined scope of practice and seeking support when required. You will uphold Trust policies, maintain uniform standards, and take responsibility for keeping your knowledge current. By modelling good practice and contributing to audit activity, you will help maintain a safe, effective and evidence based working environment.
Audit, Research and Risk
You will support the Resuscitation and Deteriorating Patient Team by assisting with the collection and input of audit data. Your contribution will help monitor training activity, identify areas for improvement and support the Trust’s commitment to safe, high quality care.
Policy and Service Development
You will work in line with Trust policies and procedures relating to the delivery of resuscitation training, ensuring safe and consistent practice. You will also assist in incident reporting and accident prevention, supporting the wider governance processes that underpin safe and effective service delivery.
