Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge? As an Advanced Practitioner in our Children & Families Services for Children with Disabilities, you will play a vital role in safeguarding disabled and neurodiverse vulnerable children. You will focus on complex cases, including pre-care proceedings and child protection, working with children who are being supported under the mental health act, while also providing support to social workers in the service. In this role, you will:

Be the allocated worker for a limited number of complex cases.

Co-work and provide support to social workers.

Offer reflective and group supervision to non-social work qualified staff.

Contribute to practice development within the service.

Manage a small caseload of highly complex cases.

Lead and mentor staff, fostering a supportive environment.

Be involved in developing care and support packages in partnership with other agencies
To thrive in this role, you should have:

A recognised social work qualification.

A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience in child and family social work.

Experience in supervising or mentoring others.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Knowledge of safeguarding practices and legislation.
