Due to a truly exciting period of growth, we are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly skilled Field Service Engineer to work as part of our growing team.
The ideal candidate for the role of Field Service Engineer should be able to demonstrate experience in the field of Wi-Fi or Telecoms installations and maintenance. You will have a thorough understanding of H&S regulations and should have a customer-focused approach, skilled in working as part of a team or individually with a ‘Can Do’ attitude. The role is based from our Preston office, but involves a mix of working away from home and regional work.

- Competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,00 (depending on experience) Plus an on-call payment
- Monday – Friday (40 hrs a week) occasional weekend work plus weekend on call rota.

As a Field Service Engineer your duties will be:
- Installation of Wi-Fi, IT & TV infrastructure on customer sites at both indoor and outdoor locations
- Investigate / diagnose faults and repair Wi-Fi, IT & TV infrastructure.
- Onsite Wi-Fi, IT & TV infrastructure proactive and maintenance tasks
- Installation and termination of copper, fibre, and coax
- Occasional groundworks as part of onsite installs and repairs
- Wi-Fi & IT event installation and event support
Required skills:
- Good understanding of Wi-Fi and Networking technologies
- Experience in a field bases engineering role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience of internal and external cabling (copper and fibre)
- Comfortable working at height.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Familiarity with Ubiquiti, Cambium, Mikrotik (advantageous)
- Valid CSCS card and IPAF (advantageous)
- Fibre splicing and testing (advantageous)
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
