Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Engage with customers, taking their orders accurately and providing helpful recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as necessary.
- Uphold a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to meet customer needs.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience.
- Previous experience in food preparation or a customer service role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
- A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques in beverage preparation.
