About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Surplus Stock Controller to support the management, recovery, and sale of surplus stock and site waste streams across Pladis operations.
Reporting to the Central Functional Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the site's surplus and imperfect product processes, ensuring maximum value is recovered while supporting waste reduction, sustainability, and site performance objectives.
This role will require occasional funded travel between Pladis sites and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to both operational efficiency and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the collection, tracking and sale of surplus and imperfect stock across multiple product categories.
Maximise recovery value and revenue generation from surplus stock and waste streams.
Deliver weekly and monthly sales performance against forecast targets.
Build strong relationships with internal departments, external suppliers, and waste partners.
Identify and escalate risks, issues, and opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports on stock recovery, sales performance, and waste stream activity.
Maintain the Surplus Stock and Waste Dashboard, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
Provide key performance data, including sales values, volumes, and waste recovery metrics.
Support Site Management Teams and the UK Waste Specialist through analysis and reporting that supports operational decision-making.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve recovery performance.

Have good Microsoft Excel and reporting system skills.
