Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Provide clear instructions and information to patients regarding medication usage
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Support inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards
- Offer compassionate patient care by addressing queries and providing medication guidance
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical terminology
- Strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to minimise errors
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills, demonstrating professionalism when interacting with patients and colleagues
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 Required in Pharmacy Dispensing
