We are looking for an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager who wants to be part of a forward thinking, independent, 24 bed residential care home.
You will be responsible for developing and managing care plans on digital systems as well as leading a team of senior carers. Your duties will include monitoring staff performance and assist with training and supervisions.
Our residents are central to everything we do so you will be expected to take a hands-on role at times and lead by example providing person centered care.
As the deputy manager you will be working closely with the registered manager and provider whilst bringing your experience to help innovate and drive change. You will be expected to carry out and complete regular audits of the service and be able to highlight and improve areas that need attention. You will be responsible for the day-to-day compliance with all aspects of medication including auditing.
You will be on call every other week and be expected to fill in for care staff should the necessity arise. It is also essential that you can deputise for the registered manager in their absence and be able to carry out all their duties when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within an elderly/dementia care home setting. You will be familiar with appropriate regulations and legislation and have experience with dealing with the requirements of the CQC.
This is a 40-hour salaried contract working 5 days a week from 8am until 5pm. This may include occasional evenings or weekends
