Salopian Brewery is based in Hadnall, on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, and are one of the country’s leading independent breweries with a passion for brewing great beer and outstanding customer service. With a growing team, our people are the most important cog in our quest to create, deliver and sell great beer.
We are looking to recruit a Delivery Driver to join our team.
This is a broad role with the primary responsibility of making efficient and accurate multi drop deliveries to a range of customers across the region. Complementing this, are duties at the brewery including picking and preparation of deliveries, packaging of our products, cask preparation and washing, and supporting with the day-to-day upkeep of the brewery environment. A clean driving licence is a must and a forklift certificate of competence would also be advantageous.
KEY TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES
· Van based multi-Drop deliveries of cask, keg and small-pack beers to variety of outlets across the region
· Collecting empty casks from customers
· Loading and unloading of vehicles - manually & using FLT
· Picking orders for deliveries, individually and as part of a team
· Promoting a professional image of our company to customers
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Have a clean, full UK driving licence held for over 4 years
- Provide proof that they have the right to work in the UK
- An interest in beer is preferable, but not essential as long as you are keen to learn.
- Must be flexible with working hours due to the nature of the industry
- As the public face of the brewery, it’s essential you have positive attitude, great people skills, are well organised, and with an attention to detail
- A team player but also able to work independently
